How to prepare for your Newborn Session:
- 1.) I Ask that if possible you set your thermostat to 75-80 degrees 30 minutes prior to my arrival or if you have a heater you can set this up in the area/room with best space/lighting. A warm baby is a happy sleepy baby. I also bring a small heater to help.
- 2.) Go ahead and strip baby down and keep a loose fitting diaper on and just swaddle or use a blanket to cover to make transitions easier as we dont want to disrupt the baby to much in a relaxed state.
- 3.) Go ahead and Nurse or begin to feed the baby 15min or so before I arrive so baby is satisfied and sleepy.
- 4.)Once I arrive and unload my vehicle I will have you look through my props/clothing/swaddles etc. ,and I then will start setting up based on your preferences.
- 5.) If we are doing family poses or sibling poses I will typically start with these, so that you're not sweating in your outfits and then can change and relax while I focus on the baby. I will use either a neutral colored background or do these more lifestyle on your bed or couch etc.
- 6.) This session will last 2-4hrs from setup to packing up and depending on how well your baby sleeps and transitions throughout the poses.
- 7.) Be prepared that your baby may eat more on this day to keep them sleepy and relaxed. If they take a pacifier this is helpful also to help soothe between different setups and poses.
- 8.) Lastly, When the session is over expect to see a sneak peek within 48hrs , and a completed session in 2-3 weeks via an online gallery.
